And I’m in serious pain as a result of my sunburn. Also, I haven’t packed more than a few outfits. I’d be packing more if I didn’t hurt so much. The top one sixth of my body is lobster red, and I can’t raise my arms more than 75 degrees. I’m really, really hoping it gets better by Tuesday. I thought it’d feel better by today, but, no. Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow. I’m in a lot of pain, and so far Aleve and Advil haven’t been helping much.
I have so much packing to do, and I have a feeling it won’t be getting done until Monday, exactly what I didn’t want to happen. Fortunately, I’ve been gathering some items, so it’s not like I’m completely not packed. Yesterday I printed out my work documents! All I have to do now is sign them. I bought my parents a web cam, but I doubt they’ll figure out how to use it in the next four days. They need a better one though (the one I bought them was $5, so you get what you pay for). I have so much to do in so little time. Sunday is completely full because my family is having a picnic (an end of summer/bon voyage party). It’ll get done, right?

I leave in five days, check-in is in six. I have about 30% of my crap packed, and some just gathered. I really should pack today because I’m super busy this weekend, and will have zero time to pack.
In other news, my sister and I went to a water park near Pittsburgh yesterday. It was fun, but I unfortunately (purposely) forgot to put on sun screen. I didn’t put any on because I wanted to “prime” my skin for Florida. My skin burns so easily, and I should have put some on anyway, but I’m feeling it today. I’m soooo red and it’s soooo painful. I’m hoping the pain subsides a little by Tuesday.
Lately I’ve been weening myself away from posting on Disney message boards and such because I know Disney has strict employee Internet usage policies. I’m assuming this means blogs too. My blog will follow all Disney guidelines (once I find out what they are), but I’ll still be updating and posting. I don’t know how much I’ll be writing in the next 5 days, because I REALLY need to pack!!!

Holy crap! I can’t believe it’s only two weeks away. I haven’t been doing much, though I have packed a bit. Yesterday my sister and I went to Kennywood, an amusement park near Pittsburgh. It was no Disney, but it was still fun. I rode more rides than I thought I would. I’d never been there before, even though I live somewhat close to it. The walking and standing didn’t bother me too much, which I’m pretty happy about, but again, Kennywood is no Disney. I have a lot of things I want to do in the next two weeks, but I doubt I’ll do them. I’d kind of just like to stay home with my family and my dog because I won’t see them for five months. My parents are coming down a month after I get there, and my sister is probably coming down in December, but I’m going to miss my dog so much. I bought my parents a web cam, so hopefully I’ll get it pretty soon so I can hook it up for them. This will be an experience, that’s for sure. Hopefully I’m ready for it.

I’m now an officially licensed driver!! My test went okay. I messed up a few times, but I guess it wasn’t anything too bad because he passed me! But now I won’t be driving until I get back from Florida because it’s dumb to pay for insurance for two weeks. I’m not driving in Florida, but it helps to have a license.
In WDWCP news…nothing. I haven’t packed at all, but I have cleaned my room a bit. Not much, but I have been finding some things that I’d lost. Maybe I’ll spend the rest of today packing (yeah, right).

Until I’m on my way to Orlando!!! I began packing on Sunday. Well, by packing I mean gathering stuff I need that never got unpacked from my last trip to Disney World or from school. I really don’t have much gathered up. No clothes are packed yet. I wrote a whole list of things, but I keep crossing stuff off. If I know I can buy it at Wal-Mart in Florida, then I don’t need to buy it here, pack it, and take it there. Essentials are clothes and my computer.
In other news, I’ve scheduled my drivers license test for this weekend. I’m no where near ready, but I’m not taking the test to be allowed to drive really, I’m doing it more for the stupid plastic card. I practiced the maneuverability, aka the cones, test today. I’m really bad at it, but hopefully I’ll get better by Saturday with practice.
Other than that, nothing else is new to report!

33 ’til I leave home, 34 until check-in! Nothing else is very new though… I bought new luggage from Disney Shopping. It just means I need to pack now… I’m attempting to, it’s just hard. I’ve been cleaning a lot lately. My room is a mess, full of old toys and school books and papers from high school, so I’m cleaning it out before i leave for Florida. We’re supposedly having a yard sale soon, so hopefully I can make some $$ to take with me (actually, pay off credit card bills…). It’s doubly hard though because my family is trying to clean out my grandmother’s house too, so we keep accumulating stuff. My dad any uncle think everything should just be throuwn out, when in actuality, every little thing needs to be looked through because there are pictures and important documents randomly strewn about the house. My mom and aunt have been going through everything, and it’s going to take way more time than anyone originally thought. Our family likes to collect stuff and throw absolutely nothing away, so it’s going to be a challenge. I’m more concerned about my bedroom at home right now though. I really need to clean it out by the time I leave for Florida.
I really have nothing else to blog about though. It’s just been a lazy summer, but boy is it going to pick up in the next month…

I’m not doing anything interesting. My family just didn’t feel like doing anything, I guess. I might walk outside later tonight to see the big fireworks being let off across the river, but I doubt I do. I’ll probably just go to my bedroom and watch from the window.
In WDW news, the announcement from Disney regarding the closure of Pleasure Island has made me mad. I am really, really going to miss the Adventurer’s Club. Seriously, if anyone who has never been there has the chance before September 27th, GO. Seriously. This is the best club anywhere. It is distinctly Disney, but grown-up Disney. It’s awesome.
I’ve also been thinking a lot about going to Florida. I’m trying not to get homesick, but everytime I think about it, I get a little sad. I’ve also realized that anything I set out to do since I got my acceptance letter has not been accomplished. Nothing. Nothing at all. I only have 46 more days, and I know that nothing will get accomplished in those 46 days. Learn how to drive…nope. Exercise/walk more…nope. Clean my room out…nope. Waste time playing Sims 2…yep. I can’t believe I only have 46 more days. Time really flies when you don’t really want it to. I should probably start packing…

I’ve been having my normal pre-big event dreams lately. Twice so far, my dreams have been about flying. Last night I had a dream that I flew down, was placed in a one bedroom apartment and my roommate (speaking of, I officially have a roommate again!) had 5 big luggage bags taking up most of the room and closet. Ha! I have some really, really weird dreams. I’m sure I’ll have a few more doozies before I get down there. I always have at least one where I forget my credit card.
In other news, I’ve been getting a lot of questions, here and other places online, what a Main Entrance Operations Cast Member does. Well, I have no idea. I won’t know anything really until I get down there, but this is what my acceptance letter said:
working in one or more of the following areas: Parking, Park Greeter, Ticket Operations; staffing outdoor Toll Plaza areas; operating a large motorized parking tram and delivering narrations on a microphone; greeting all Guests who enter the park and validating their tickets; operating turnstile areas; selling various ticket media at our water parks, Downtown Disney, or Disney’s Wide World of Sports; using computerized registers; assisting with audience control, including during parades; cleaning main entrance areas; standing for extended periods of time; and working outdoors.
That’s as much as I know, honestly. There aren’t too many first hand accounts of Main Entrance Operations Cast Members online.

Southwest is having their 37th anniversary this week, and today they’ve had DING! deals out the wazoo! I finally got one I could use and I saved $20 off the normal web price! It’s about time. It’s not the earlier flight I wanted, but it’s still a cheap flight there and that is all I needed. I wasn’t planning on doing anything that first way anyways. Dinner, maybe, but nothing else interesting. I called DIsney to add the Magical Express to my reservation and found out that if you book through AAA, they practically own all control over your trip. I couldn’t book DME through Disney, so now I have to go to AAA and book it through them. No big deal, but it would have been much easier to book through Disney.
I also have been diligently working on a packing list. So far, it’s 4 pages long. I know I still have 62 days, but the sooner I do things, the happier I am and the more accomplished I feel. I can pack small things that I know I don’t need in the next 2 months (like my Pal Mickey. Yes, Pal Mickey will be coming with me!). I’ve also been downloading iTunes songs like no body’s business. I made the mistake of attaching my PayPal to iTunes and now I can’t stop buying songs!!

Absolutely nothing major new this week. I officially don’t have an assigned roommate now. I really can’t decide if I want to sign up for a random roommate, try to find a roommate online or just take my chances when I get there. I’ve had bad luck with roommates in the past, so I really need to figure out what I’m going to do.
I forgot to buy my plane ticket last week, so now the price is higher again. I’m still holding out though, hoping Southwest has a good Ding in the near future.
I had lost my purple folder, but fortunately found it yesterday. I had been freaking out because I need the folder to check-in. Now, if only I could find my expired Passport (so I can get it renewed before I go to Florida. I don’t really need it, I’d just like to have it.)
In non-WDW College program news…well, nothing I guess. I drove on the highway for the first time ever on Friday. It’s going to take me some time to get use to it. It was only my second time driving on real roads, so I think I did decently. I should go out more. My permit expires in a few weeks, so I’ll no doubt be getting it renewed. I’d like to have my license by August, but I really don’t believe that will happen.
